Biking + Introductions

This week on the Je M'appelle Molly channel I put out 2 new videos. Tuesday's vlog was comprised of me and Amanda going on a bike ride, as well as a few other snippets from my weekend. Thursday's episode of The Molly Show featured a new face and I even threw in a little advice. I ALSO HIT 100 SUBSCRIBERS and I'm still in shock. Thanks to whoever is coming on this journey with me.

I'm officially THE WORST BLOGGER EVER. Please forgive me. I know it seems like lately my blog has turned into a dumping ground for my newest videos-- and that's because it has. I've just been super excited about what I've been creating over on the YouTubes, and I hope you don't mind too much. With that being said, I posted 2 new videos last week, and 2 more will go out this week (1 is actually up right now), so keep those eyeballs peeled. Ew gross. Thanks for being awesome. Hope you had a Happy 4th of July. Go watch and enjoy.

It's that fabulous time of the year again. Time for a week of sleepless nights, gallons of coffee, and cramming. It's finals week.

This year I'm fortunate enough to only have 3 more assignments during finals week-- 2 exams, 1 paper, and I'm out of here. I've packed up most of my room, I've got my ride home all figured out, and I just want summer to start.

Even though I'm excited to get this week over with, it's a bittersweet time. In 4 days time I'm going to leave the friends I see every single day for the summertime. Though I'm sure we'll talk all of the time, I'm going to miss them. And seeing my room emptying out, with boxes piling up, makes me nostalgic. It's been a fun year, full of wonderful memories, and I'm going to miss it.

So as you're stuffing your mind with seemingly pointless information, I hope you get some time to hang out with your friends. These are those years that everyone says will past by so quickly, so make 'em count.

Happy finals to you.

Trip to NYC

Let's just say I've been needing to post these pictures for a while now. Last month my friends and I took a Spring Break road trip up to Connecticut. While we were there, we took a day trip to New York City and it was absolutely awesome. I hadn't been there since I was very young, so I was completely tourist-ing it up and snapping a million photos. We ate New York pizza, walked through Times Square, fulfilled my dream of visiting The Plaza, and saw a million other famous places. It was wonderful and exhausting and so much fun. If you'd like to see a video montage of our entire trip, check out that post here!

Definitely one for the books.

Thoughts on a Monday (Numero Dos)

Random Monday thoughts...
-Does anyone want to do my laundry?
-How about that French homework?
-Paris seems amazing, I'd just rather skip that class.
-2 more weeks of classes and I'll be free.
-What the heck am I going to do all summer?
-The joy of finding summer jobs.
-The joy of summer though.
-I can't wait to be home.
-School is cool, but dorm rooms & the beach 3 hours away sucks.
-Homeward bound this weekend.
-My mom is the best.
-Lena Dunham magazine covers await.
-Girls needs to come back on.
-All my favorite shows are ending.
-Let's finish watching Freaks & Geeks first.
-Along with some M&Ms and gummy bears.
-So, about that laundry...

Someone please save me from my boredom. Happy Monday.

Thoughts on HIMYM

This is not a normal post for me, but as a How I Met Your Mother fan I feel like I need to say a few things. Spoilers are coming, so if you haven't watched it, don't read any further. Two days ago one of my favorite television show came to an end and I can't believe that's it. It's actually over. Surprise! I didn't hate it, but I have some issues with it. So here's where I vent about it.

A few weeks ago is when the rumors started about the Mother being sick. We all feared it, but we all knew it was going to happen. Some serious foreshadowing was going on, but I think a lot of fans didn't want to believe it. We've been waiting 9 Seasons for Ted to be with the Mother and she's going to die? Nononono. We've been waiting for Ted to find the one, and it was heartbreaking to think she might be gone.

There was a moment in the finale when I knew what was going to happen. The moment Barney & Robin told the group they were getting divorced was the moment I knew Ted would end up with Robin.

It all made sense. Ted would meet the Mother, marry her, have 2 kids, and then she would get sick. He'd end up with Robin. This is obviously where the internet exploded and all the backlash about this episode is coming from.

Think about it though. Would we really be content if Ted & Robin didn't end up together? I've grown to love the story between the two of them, especially this past season, and it wouldn't have felt right if they weren't together. I didn't see it coming, but at the same time I did. Robin has always known she was always supposed to be with Ted. Even on her wedding day. I think Ted was just too good of a friend, and a person to tell her that. HIMYM has been all about this grand story of love, romance, and destiny. Ted's destiny has always been for him to be with Robin, and I think he's always known that. I think as fans we've known that too. Robin has always been the one.

I'm happy with how things turned out, but my problem with the finale is that it was just so incredibly rushed. There were 10 minutes left of the episode and there were still so many loose ends! I think that's where the error was. This entire 9th season has been spent on the wedding day shenanigans, and random pointless encounters, when it could've been spent tying up loose ends. I just wanted them to get to the point and, and ultimately they did, but this season seriously dragged on and the finale felt so rushed. That's where some of my disappointment comes from.

I'm happy for Marshall & Lily and where there lives ended up. I'm happy Barney found a girl he could spend everyday loving. I'm sad Barney & Robin got divorced. I'm sad that the mother died. But ultimately I'm really happy Ted & Robin ended up together. The blue french horn ending was perfection. I just wish all of this wasn't shoved into an hour long episode.

How I Met Your Mother has been a pleasure to watch. It's been a hilarious story of friendship, life, and love. There's nothing that will ever change that.

Farewell to How I Met Your Mother. I can't believe it's over. It's been legendary.

Photo Friday

Well, long time no blog post. Oopsie. I could sit here and write excuses as to why I haven't been writing but I don't think anyone really cares. So, instead let's celebrate the awesome fact that it is finally Friday and oh my goodness I'm so happy. This weekend is going to be a bit busy, but I'm so excited. In traditional Je M'appelle Molly fashion, shall leave you with some Instagram pictures from the past couple weeks. Some more photos are coming from my spring break trip up North, and hopefully a video are coming soon!

Happy Friday. Happy weekend. Happy Spring. I hope you have a splendid day.

Georgia has the most bipolar weather. It looked like spring, felt like winter.

A throwback to St. Paddy's day last year with Vinnie and Tara. Oh, memories.

From the first pit stop on our Spring Break road trip to Connecticut. Caffeine required.

We drove through the night, so we were still up to see the sunrise.

We got to travel to New York City and eat pizza. Need I say more.

People scurrying to get home in Grand Central Station.

Umm I got to see the birthplace of Eloise. Aka The Plaza. Aka my dream come true.

On our last day we went bowling, and I was victorious.  Booyah.

Hershey looking like a rather unamused leprechaun. I love my puppy.

A birthday shout out to one of the coolest chicks I know. Happy 20th Scarmstrong.

St. Paddy's Day this year with Amanda. It rained, but we celebrated anyway.

Spring Break

I'm headed to Connecticut! At approximately 5 pm me and some of my friends are heading up to Connecticut for Spring Break! I'm so excited to see snow, be with my friends, and not be in school. Although it may seem strange we're headed towards the cold, it's still going to be awesome. Lots of food & maybe a trip to NYC are in store-- I'll definitely be posting about all of that soon!

I hope you have a wonderful Friday, and for some of you, an awesome Spring Break!

Photo Friday

This past week has been a big, huge blur. I'm amazed that somehow it's already Friday again and its been an entire week since I've been home. Its just been such a hectic and stressful week that I'm not quite sure where it all went. So for today's Photo Friday I want to reminisce on the wonderful weekend that I got to spend at home. I got to spend time with my mom, enjoy the beautiful weather, browse antique stores, stuff myself full of seafood, and of course cuddle with my puppy. It was the first time I've been home since the new year, and I surely did miss it. I like being at college, but there's nothing like visiting home.

What's in My Purse?

I've always loved watching these kind of videos. I think it goes back to my middle school days when everyone started carrying purses for the first time and we were all so eager to see what each other had inside. The contents have changed a little since then (I sadly no longer tote around my Tamagotchi), but it's still fun to snoop into other people's purses. Who knows. Mine is mostly full of gum wrappers, old movie tickets, and Chic-Fil-A coupons... which I get entirely too excited about. Anywho, I hope you enjoy, and I hope you have a lovely weekend!

A Pet Peeve

Sharing a bathroom with other girls is something I have grown to despise after living in a dorm. I will not get into details, because its kinda nasty, though I will go off on one tangent...

I have deemed those who do not replace the roll of toilet paper after finishing it the laziest of all people. Don't get me wrong. I have done this many a times myself, but I have since stopped. I have pledged to replace the roll.

Why is it so difficult to replace the toilet paper roll? It adds a mere 10 seconds to your bathroom experience. For some reason we are so incredibly bothered by the fact that we have to replace the roll of toilet paper with a new one and I just don't understand why.

It especially irritates me in the bathroom I currently use. The way in which my bathroom is set up, the new rolls are right next to the toilet. They're not under a sink in a cabinet, they're not even in a closet-- they are 5 inches away from you. You do not even have to lift your bum from the toilet to replace the toilet paper roll. It couldn't be more simple.

So please, next time you see this unsightly sight above, take care of it. It's just polite. Don't be that person.

Replace the roll.

Pointless rant over.

Photo Friday

These past couple weeks have been extremely hectic and stressful-- definitely foreshadowing for how the rest of my semester will pan out. It makes me really sad that my blog has sort of been on the back burner, but between school, work, friends, sorority stuff, and attempting to get some sleep... there's been limited time for me to work on posts. Hopefully it won't be that way every week. I do have some exciting videos and a few trips that will surely inspire me.

I know I'm not the only one with a crazy busy schedule, so I hope this weekend you find some time to relax. It is Valentine's Day (unfortunately), so maybe make that your excuse to do something fun. I'll be heading out with some of my friends to dinner and a movie-- we single ladies do have to stick together. We're hoping to see a proposal at some point throughout the night. And obviously, don't forget to rummage the stores for discounted chocolate on Saturday.

Happy Friday, happy weekend. I'll leave you with a couple snapshots from the past couple crazy weeks.

M&Ms and Gummy Bears: The greatest combination of candies on the face of the planet and arguably the tastiest movie night snack. Don't knock it til you try it.

From a fun day spent with some of my best friends. Don't hate me cuz I'm cliché, please.

I was a fashionista as a child. Overalls + a tutu is just all kinds of right.

Snowpocalypse 2014 hit us hard, and I was incredibly happy.

I took about a million snow pictures, since this is probably the only time I'll see snow during college.

This was the first magazine I'd bought in months. And yes, I bought it just because of Lena Dunham.

From a typical it's-10:30-and-I-want-pizza-right-now night. Those happen a little too often.. but I'm kind of okay with that.

I hope you have a splendid weekend, and a mediocre Valentine's Day (I kid, I kid). If you wanna make my Valentine's Day less sucky, you can go follow me in the places below--
