On My Nails: Orly Rage

I've been wanting a rose gold polish for a while, and I've heard good things about Orly Rage, so I picked it up at Ulta about a month ago. Now, this isn't exactly the go-to color that I'd think of for summer, however, I think it serves as a really great neutral. It's a lovely shade,  it's very flattering, and it isn't as distracting as a bright blue or hot pink. I still don't think it is exactly what I was looking for in the rose gold department. I want something a little more rosy; unless you are in sunlight, this often pulls more gold or even silver at times. I'm also till having the weird bubbles in my polish as well and I'm convinced it's the top coat I'm using. Sorry if that's a bit distracting!

^^ See the stupid bubbles? GRRR.

So 2 questions:
1. Have you found the perfect rose gold nail polish?
2. What are your recommendations for a base or top coat?

    1. Thanks, I hope so too! It takes me forever to paint my nails and I hate that the final result is all bubbly! Haha.

  4. Hi Molly,

I found your blog on Cupcakes and Cashmere's comment section.
Try Seche Vite's Dry Fast top coat. It's about ten dollars but worth every cent. Aside from a gel manicure its the best lasting top coat I've ever used.

    Hope this helps.

    1. Love Emily's blog! Glad you stopped by. I've heard really great things about that one, so I think I may have to invest in it soon. Thanks for the recommendation!

  5. I had the SAME exact problem! It would drive me insane... my manicure would be finished, and then I realized the little bubbles would find their way up.

After doing some research, this is what I've done to eliminate the bubbles: I do very thin coats, and wait about five minutes inbetween them. Someone else had mentioned its due to humidity in the air (darn Summer!) so I usually put my polish in the fridge for a bit before I use it.

Or, you could always do the nail polish stickers if you are still having issues!
