Everyday Summer Makeup
During summer I like to keep makeup to a minimum. I like to blame it on the heat-- that any effort put into my makeup will quickly become a mess in the humidity-- but I think it's just because I'm lazy. If you actually catch me on a day where I've actually taken a bit of time to get ready, this is probably what I'm wearing.
Revlon's Photoready Concealer is an all time favorite of mine. It works well to cover up my blemishes & under-eye circles. I think this is the third one I've bought!
I've been using Revlon's Nearly Naked Powder (which is alright) & the Real Techniques Multi-Tasking Brush (which is amazing) to try to mattify my skin.
I make sure to brush through my eyebrows with this comb I got in a travel kit & curl my lashes with e.l.f.'s Eyelash Curler.
Then, I use my fingers to apply some shadows from CoverGirl's Shimmering Sands Trio (it varies from day to day). And finally, I add put on some of CoverGirl's LashBlast Mascara.
That's it! 4 products and I'm good to go. I'd love to know what some of your everyday essentials are!

Food, Flowers, & Fun
Happy, happy Monday to you all! This is the first Monday I haven't had to wake up at 6 am in quite some time, and I can't complain. Friday was my last day of work, & though I'm sad I won't get to see all the kiddos anymore, I'm quite happy to have some time to relax. In just a few days I head back to school, so it's nice to have a few days off before then. I spent a lot of this weekend catching up on sleep, eating good food, and fighting off some sort of cold/allergy thing that's going on in my nose. So fun.
To celebrate work being over/summer/I was just thirsty, Amanda and I got slushies. Contrary to what it says, it only cost 52 cents. I opted for a cherry/coke combo.
I can't resist taking pictures of flowers. It's just in my nature. ;)
My mom actually had a Saturday off from work! So we spent some of the day shopping, and eating at Tubby's. I love, love their crab stew.
A lovely pond/fountain filled with fishies that I saw while we were out shopping.
First fresh corn of the summer season. My mom and I were seriously questioning ourselves because we haven't been eating it all summer long.
Last night my dad took me to Leoci's for dinner before I head back to school. I had spaghetti & meatballs and it was delicious.
My outfit for dinner! Of course, I managed to spill sauce on the single white strip of fabric on my new shirt. Geeze.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

The Best Friend Tag! (Again)
You may have seen a similar post to this one a few days ago, but YouTube wasn't cooperating so I had to re-upload! Amanda & I finally had time to sit down and film 'The Best Friend Tag.' If you're unfamiliar with the tag, it's a list of questions that we each answer about the other person. We told the story of how we met and talk about weird eating habits... it's just all sorts of fun. Oh, and of course there were bloopers (make sure you stay until the end)! Please give it a watch, and let me know what you think in the comments below! Are there any other videos would you like to see?
Thanks for watching! You can watch other videos on my YouTube channel here!

July in Photos
At the beginning of the month I wrote this post, challenging myself to take a photo everyday of the month. I actually did it! Some of the photos were taking a little last minute (ex. a half eaten bagel + watching Tiny Furniture), but I did it. This month flew by, so I'm glad I was able to capture a little moment of each day. There were 31 days in July, so one photo is left out, but you'll see it next week on Photo Friday!
Did any of you take on the challenge? Should I keep going? And of course, have a happy weekend!

DIY: ♥ Collage
For this Thursday's Theme, I want to share a few back to school tips with you all. This DIY would be perfect to fill up an empty dorm wall, or add a little life to any room. About a month ago I rearranged my room and took down what used to be a big, fluffy, hot pink headboard. Oh, it was glorious, don't get me wrong, but it was definitely time for a change. I've been wanting to do this in my room for a while and finally got around to doing putting it up. Here are the steps I took:
1. Find yourself a nice open wall. I chose the space above my bed, but anywhere will work! (& yes, that is my teddy bear...)
2. Gather a bunch of photos & something to hang them with. I had some painter's tape, which isn't the best option, but it works. I used 19 photos in total-- 5 portrait & 14 landscape.
3. Lay out your photos in the order/arrangment you'd like. Add more or less photos depending on the wall space you are filling.
4. Apply tape to the back of each photo.
5. Recruit a cute puppy to help you hang them up. I'll admit.. I didn't do any proper measurements & just eye-balled it. I had to move the photos around 2 or 3 times before I was happy with it.
6. Voila! A fun, super inexpensive way to decorate your walls.
Be sure to look out for another Back to School post next Thursday! Have a lovely day & happy August!
