Photo Friday

These past couple weeks have been extremely hectic and stressful-- definitely foreshadowing for how the rest of my semester will pan out. It makes me really sad that my blog has sort of been on the back burner, but between school, work, friends, sorority stuff, and attempting to get some sleep... there's been limited time for me to work on posts. Hopefully it won't be that way every week. I do have some exciting videos and a few trips that will surely inspire me.

I know I'm not the only one with a crazy busy schedule, so I hope this weekend you find some time to relax. It is Valentine's Day (unfortunately), so maybe make that your excuse to do something fun. I'll be heading out with some of my friends to dinner and a movie-- we single ladies do have to stick together. We're hoping to see a proposal at some point throughout the night. And obviously, don't forget to rummage the stores for discounted chocolate on Saturday.

Snowpocalypse 2014 hit us hard, and I was incredibly happy.

I took about a million snow pictures, since this is probably the only time I'll see snow during college.

This was the first magazine I'd bought in months. And yes, I bought it just because of Lena Dunham.

From a typical it's-10:30-and-I-want-pizza-right-now night. Those happen a little too often.. but I'm kind of okay with that.

Photo Friday (Snowpocalypse Edition)

I live in Georgia, go to school in Georgia, and this week the most incredible thing happened... it snowed. It actually snowed. I grew up around snow & I've seen snow many times before, but having it snow here, where it never ever ever snows, was amazing.

On Tuesday, afternoon classes were cancelled and the anticipation began. We went to the grocery store to stock up on food and played Just Dance for hours. We watched the rain turned to sleet, and finally the sleet turned to snow. We spent the night sledding down the hill, walking around campus, and reveling in the fact that classes were cancelled.

Unfortunately, a few hours away in Atlanta it wasn't all snowball fights and sledding. A ton of people were stranded and were stuck on the highway, but the community came together (read more about it here) and provided for one another. That's what was so magical about our snow day-- the community came together & everyone on campus was having fun. It felt like some sort of weird dream walking around campus and seeing everything and everyone covered in snow. It's a memory I'm never going to forget.

I've officially been in school 3 weeks, and I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I will admit though, I'm still not completely used to this schedule... hence the lack of posts on here (sorry about that). It's going to be a crazy, busy semester, but I'll keep posting as always. It might get sparse here and there, but I love this too much to give it up. Anyways, I hope you all are having a good Friday so far. It's finally the weekend and I couldn't be more happy.

It's been a bit of a process adjusting to the end of Christmas, the New Year, and my schedule this semester. I have a lot of new & fun stuff to work on for you guys, but I'll be honest... this semester is going to be a doozy. Regardless of all that, it is finally Friday and I can regroup this weekend. I hope you all have been enjoying the new year so far. Happy happy happy Friday! These past couple weeks have been awesome. I survived finals week, Amanda turned 20, I went camping with friends, and there's just a couple things to finish up before Christmas! I can't believe it's just a few days away. I still have a ton of shopping and crafting and baking left to do, but I can't wait! Here are a couple photos to sum up the last week or two.
