Home Sweet Home

Over the weekend I got to travel home for the first time in three months. Have I said that already? I'm sorry, it was just so nice to be back. I basically stayed in all weekend and hung out with Hershey (my dog), but Sunday I got to spend a lovely day with my mom. We went to see Captain Phillips and sobbed, took a stroll through the Botanical Gardens, and then ate downtown at one of our favorite spots (that has the most amazing fries you'll ever eat). I know I get to go home in a week for Thanksgiving, but I miss that place already.

Shopping in Paris

One of my favorite stores to browse around is The Paris Market. As I mentioned in 'My Favorites' post, my favorite city is Paris and walking around this store makes me feel like I'm there. The first floor is full of jewelry, soaps, a little café, and huge marquee letters (that I want to put in my room). Once you are done looking up there, a book-lined staircase leads you down to another magical little world. It is such a cool place to visit and if you like what you see, luckily there is an online store you can browse here or go visit their blog here.

A Beautiful Day

Yesterday was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect, I was in a great mood, and many of you have already given me amazing feedback here on my blog. It put a huge smile on my face. Amanda (my best friend) and I went downtown yesterday and took advantage of the weather. We ate frozen yogurt, walked around the shops, got free praline samples (score!) and even posed with street art. What a great day to start off the summer.
