On the Shore
Just before I came back to school, Amanda and I took a drive down to the beach so she could pick up some seashells. It had been a long time since I just took pictures for the fun of it, and I ended up making a little video as well. It's stuff like this that makes me miss being home, but I'll be back there soon enough. Hope you're enjoying this beautiful day off!

Throwback Thursday
I'm interrupting the normal Thursday Theme schedule to share a fun little video I made last summer. It was my last summer before going away to college, and it was a bit of a bittersweet time for me. I was excited for college, but just not ready to leave home yet. My plan was to film a little bit of each day and put together a couple videos so I could remember it. I ended up just making this one, but I love going back to watch it. It just makes me a very happy girl.

The Weekend
After a long, relaxing weekend I really am not looking forward to heading back to work. 6 AM is going to come at me like a ton of bricks. Here are a few snaps from my weekend. I got to spend a few days out on the beach and by the pool where my dad rented a place. It was nice to see some of my family and enjoy the beautiful weather. We even saw dolphins flipping around in the ocean! I'll never get tired of seeing that. Happy Monday to you all!

How was your weekend?

Photo Friday
This week has been kind of exhausting & I'm so so happy it's finally Friday. I'm working at a summer camp, and at the beginning it wasn't so bad but it just got worse and worse. Gah. I have some plans for the weekend which I'm excited about, and then next week is 4th of July! I can't wait. I hope you all have had a lovely week! Here's what I've been up to lately (according to Instagram).
I will be making this again for the 4th, you can bet on it. (I posted about it here!)
Spent one morning at work swinging and singing Taylor Swift songs. Cannot complain.
"Went running and didn't die. #success"
Smilin.
Went 5 miles on this puppy! Which kinda killed my butt. Bike seats are the worst.
I stopped to take this on my ride. I forgot how much I missed the back roads by my house.
Hershey turned 13 on Tuesday. I love that sweet puppy.
On Wednesday we went on a field trip during work. Also, cannot complain.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Sweet Summertime: Dream Vacation
Yesterday was a pretty exhausting day at work, and it got me thinking about vacations. I wanted to run away to some relaxing beach where no one could bother me. Normally if you asked me where I would vacation to, my answer would be Paris. Duh. Lately I've been dreaming of the beach though, and Pinterest has been escape.
If you could hop on a flight and go anywhere right now, where would it be?

Photo Friday
Now that I have this wonderful iPhone device in my life (I promise I'll stop talking about it soon... maaaybe), I have been taking pictures and playing with Instagram like it is my duty in life. So, I thought it was fitting that today's Photo Friday showcased my new Instagram pictures.
It had been maybe 5 days since I'd seen Amanda, so naturally we had to document the moment we were together once again.
On Sunday I spent a few hours at the beach and although it was a bit overcast, I had a lovely time. Thanks to the tourist who were obnoxiously feeding the seagulls, I snapped this photo. (I also just realized the bird landing in the righthand corner.)
Hershey is the cutest. My little blogging buddy.
I stole this from Amanda. She snuck this one while I was taking pictures for yesterday's post. I now document everything, even sunscreen.
Golden moment of the week: my mom freaking out about missing her train + a napkin bib + driving with no hands + complaining about her Jersey Mike's sub. "This isn't extra oil and vinegar, idiot." Oh, how I love her.
Well, that about sums up my week. Just add in countless hours on my laptop and voila! I do hope you all have a lovely weekend. Don't forget to hug your daddio's this Sunday!
Also, I've just now realized that Google Friend Connect will be vanishing in a short while, so be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' if you'd like to be notified when I post!

Sweet Summertime: What's in My Beach Bag?
{Beach Towel}
This is actually one of the towels I brought to use at school, but it is perfect for the beach. It's bigger than a normal beach towel so you don't get your legs covered in sand.
{Sunscreen}
There is no doubt that I am extremely pale and extremely prone to getting sunburn. I'm so tired of getting burned and I think it's important to protect your skin, so I choose high SPF sunscreens. I also bring a chapstick with SPF, because, yes, even my lips will get burned. It's awful.
{Water!}
If you aren't bringing water to the beach, at least bring some sort of beverage. Whether you're out there for just a few hours or all day long, you're going to want to stay hydrated.
{Snacks}
Because you never know when hunger is going to strike.
{Sunglasses}
Gotta have the glasses. It's always a good idea to keep a cheap pair in your bag too. Going to the beach and forgetting your sunglasses is the worst. Squint city.
{A Book}
Last but not least, a good book. I'm guilty of taking books and never actually reading them, but sometimes you just need a break from swimming and sunbathing and sandcastles.

{A Hat}
I always keep a hat in my bag. Obviously they keep you protected from the sun, but they also come in handy for taming crazy beach hair.{Snacks}

I'd love to know what some of your beach bag essentials are!

Let's Go To The Beach
Usually I love the rain, but when it is supposed to rain all week during summertime, I just start to miss the sunshine. Right now I wish I was at the beach with my toes in the water and a cold drink in my hand. Since I can't quite do that without getting rained on, I figured I'd live vicariously through some old photos.
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to go?
