Winter Basics

I live in Georgia, so we are just getting to the point where we have to pull out our jackets and scarves in preparation for the colder weather. Even though tomorrow it could be 80 degrees out (thank you bipolar weather), for now I'm loving the cold weather. It gives me an excuse to layer up, and make a list of things I need to get for the coming months (I currently only have 2 pairs of pants).

Forever 21 Thick Striped Infinity Scarf: This would be great to throw on with anything. Navy & white is always a classic combination, and infinity scarves are great because there's no fuss.

Old Navy Classic Peacoat: I'm in love with the classic fit of this jacket, but also the beautiful wine color. It sort of serves as a neutral color, worn with black, brown, or navy, so you won't have to stuff a million different coats in your closet.

Just Fab Liza Boot: I've been eyeing these boots for a few winters now. I like that these aren't your classic riding boot, but still could be paired with several different outfits. I do wear more black than brown nowadays, so I'm not sure how much wear I'd get out of them.

Urban Outfitter's Flannel Shirt: It could be red, blue, green, high-end, low-end... whatever. No matter what, get yourself a flannel shirt. It is the comfiest, coziest shirt you will wear all winter.

Target Jeggings: I've talked about these before, but I wear them almost every day. I'm not sure how great these would be for someone who lives up North, but for me these are an essential. I just recently tore a hole in one pair, so I'm only down to one. Target, please restock your jeggings.

Target Beanie: Another Target find, but I really want this beanie. It's a fun color to wear on a cold day, and a great fix for bed head.

Let me know what some of your winter basics are! Ooh, and what are your favorite pair of boots?

Looking Forward to Fall

It's still 90 degrees out everyday, but I am so ready for Fall. Sweating on my way to class everyday is getting old. I hate Halloween, so I don't know why I get so excited... I think it's because it means Christmas is that much closer. I really can't wait. I also can't wait until actually becomes an acceptable temperature for me to be wearing a sweater, as well as a few other things.

H&M Sweater: So many colors to choose from & THEY HAVE POCKETS
F21 Infinity Scarf: I love the basic black & white pattern
Rimmel Kohl Eyeliner: In a deep, jewel toned purple (there's also a dark blue!)
Topshop Dress: Because polka dots are amazing and so are dresses
Revlon Balm Stain: You can dot the color on your lips for a lighter wash, or go all out
Target Jeggings: These are so comfortable & affordable

Sandals, Sundresses, and Lip Salves

Continuing with the Thursday themes (you can check out my last ones here and here), today I wanted to share my beauty and fashion favorites with you all. I learned one of two things while making this post. 1. The majority of my closet is from Target and 2. I am terrible at posing. With that being said, lets hope I expand my wardrobe and take a few lessons on posing. I'll get there... hopefully.

{Aviators}
I have a huge head, and a big nose, so it's hard to find glasses that look good on me. I've found that aviators suit me well. I got these for $10 at a beach store, but here is a similar pair from UO.

{Wonderstruck & Daisy Perfumes}
I love both of the Wonderstruck perfumes, but I only have a few uses left on the original and I decided to leave it at home. Before I bought this roller ball of Daisy I would douse myself in samples at all the department stores. So good.

{Sundresses}
These are always going to be a staple in my wardrobe. They're so effortless and comfortable; I just can't get enough. The three of these are all from Target, of course. I know for sure that the polka dot one is still available here.

{Rose Salve}
I've tried 3 different kinds of lip salves, and C.O. Bigelow's is by far my favorite. The strawberry one is included in here too because I do like it as well (mostly because it smells like a strawberry smoothie).

{Sandals}
You can never have too many pairs of sandals. The two on the outside are from Target and I got my Rainbows at a random store in the mall. Sorry for their appearance, but they've held up pretty well over the years!

{CG Mascaras}
CoverGirl mascaras are some of the best that I've ever tried. These two have definitely become my favorites. I do like a more natural makeup look, and these are perfect for that.

{Jeggings}
I apologize for my awkward posing, but I had to share my love for jeggings. They're so comfy! It's like wearing pajamas, but you don't look like a crazy person. I got these from Target, along with a black pair.

{Eyeshadows}
Last but not least, the eyeshadows. I absolutely love these: the Naked palette, the CoverGirl Shimmering Sands trio, and the L'Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Amber Rush. I feel like these products have gotten a lot of love here on the interwebs, but I can see why.

Let me know what some of your favorites are! I'd really love to try them out.
