Today's post is one that I've been very excited to share. It's no secret that I love Christmas, and being home with all the decorations is something so special to me. Our decor changes ever so slightly each year, but there are so many pieces that bring up fond memories -- our middle school snowmen creations, our stockings we've had since kids, The Three Stooges and red bows on the tree, & of course the star my brother hand crafted (which will go on top of the tree tonight, as our tradition goes!). I hope you enjoy this wonderful Christmas Eve. I'm so excited for Christmas, but a little sad that the 25 Days of Blogging are coming to an end! I have a special video that I'll be posting tomorrow, so be sure to head back over here for that! I can't wait!

Dorm Room Decor | Christmas Edition!
I may or may not have put these up prior to Thanksgiving... but hey, Christmas season flies by so fast I have to make the most of it! Pretty much everything you see is from Target or Walmart or was a gift to me, but if you have questions about anything specific, just leave a comment below. Here are a few ways I've decorated my dorm room for Christmas-- a tiny tree, a Christmas throw, and of course some twinkly lights (which actually stay up year round)!

Dorm Room Tour!
I shared a video of me moving into college, and a few of my dorm decorating ideas, so I figured I might as well show you guys my room! I live in a suite style dorm, so I have a roommate and share a bathroom with two other girls as well. It's not the most glamorous place, but I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you enjoy!

Dorm Decor Tips
1. Add color! Pick a color, any color. Dorm rooms usually look a little lifeless until you add some color. This turquoise color is one of my favorites, so I add it around my room where I can.
2. Bring a bazillion pictures. Whether it's in a frame, on a cork board, or just taped to your wall, a photo is going to add a personal touch. When you see your favorite pictures around your room, it'll make you feel more at home.
3. Take your favorite things. Whatever makes you happy. A guitar, a lamp, trinkets, flowers, a teddy bear (yes, I still sleep with my teddy bear)-- really any decor item that you love. This is another way to add a few more personal touches to your room.
4. Don't store everything away! Keep some of your makeup brushes and perfume bottles out of the drawers. Hang up a bright bag, scarf, or umbrella. Be careful, because too much can look a little cluttered.
5. Get crafty. The cheapest way to decorate your walls is to make it yourself. Plus, it'll give you something to do with all your free time (ha, rightttt). Paint + a canvas and you're good to go.
6. Must haves. First, get yourself a storage cube. It adds a pop of color, you can store random junk in it, and it'll keep you from ninja jumping into your bed every night. Second, get twinkly lights. They instantly add a homey/ cozy feeling to your room.
I am all out of tips for now, but I do hope you enjoyed. Comment below if you have any dorm decor tips! I'd love to read them all.

Pinspiration: Dorm Life
Everybody loves Pinterest right? I go back and forth with it-- sometimes I'm obsessed, and sometimes I don't go on it for weeks. Since I've been at college, I've loved looking at dorm room inspiration. People on Pinterest are so clever. Tomorrow I'll be sharing a couple ways I've incorporated some of these ideas into my own room. I haven't quite finished decorating, but a full dorm room tour is definitely in the future. Stay tuned for all the dorm room goodness!

Perfume Bottle Collection
A couple years ago I decided I'd like to start collecting perfume bottles. I'm not really sure why, but I loved the idea of it. The thing I love about all of these is that they each have a special memory tied to them. Not only are they a gorgeous decoration for my vanity, but most of them are sweet gifts that have been given to me. That's something I adore.
This was the bottle that started it all. A few years ago I spent spring break with my best friend Anna and her mom and sister in Atlanta. One day while we were out shopping I came across this in Anthropologie and decided to take it home with me.
I think Anna is the biggest supporter of my collection. She surprised me with this bottle one day and I absolutely love it.
Last year for graduation Anna's sister, Alex, gave me this bottle. I love how unique it is from the rest of my collection; it's much taller, and the color is gorgeous.
This is one of my favorites out of the bunch. When I was little I would pick this up off my mom's vanity and pretend I was getting all dolled up to go somewhere magical. I was so happy when my mom let me have this one.
These three bottles were given to me by Anna as well! She spent this past Christmas in Italy with her family and brought these back to me as a souvenir/Christmas/New Year's gift. I love how different each of them are, but they are still a perfect fit.
I'll update you as the collection grows! Is there anything you have started collecting?
